Terms and conditions for AWS Developer Associate Exam Prep: CertiCloud (com.afroda.awsassociateprep).

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of AWS Developer Associate Exam Prep: CertiCloud (com.afroda.awsassociateprep, "CertiCloud" or the "Application"), developed by AF Roda Development.

By installing or using the Application, you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Google Play's terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

2. What CertiCloud is

CertiCloud is a study tool for preparing the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification exam. It includes a condensed syllabus, cheat sheets, flashcards, a question bank, mock exams, a mode that simulates the exam interface, and gamification features.

3. Important notice: independence from AWS and study-aid nature

  • CertiCloud is not an official product. It is not affiliated, associated, sponsored, endorsed, or approved by Amazon Web Services, Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., or their affiliates, nor by Pearson VUE or Pearson Education, Inc.
  • Amazon Web Services, AWS, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, and AWS service names are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Pearson VUE is a trademark of Pearson Education, Inc. They are mentioned only to describe the exam the Application targets.
  • The content is our own and original. Questions and mock exams are written by AF Roda Development based on the public exam guide and AWS documentation. They are not real exam questions and do not come from any leak.
  • Simulation mode recreates the general look of the exam interface so you can get familiar with it. It is not Pearson VUE's official software.
  • The Application is a study aid and supplement. It does not replace the official exam guide, AWS documentation, official training, or hands-on experience. We do not guarantee that you will pass the exam or achieve any particular score: the result depends on your preparation and on how AWS designs and scores the exam.
  • AWS may change the exam's content, format, scoring, or dates at any time. We do our best to keep the content accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or omissions. If in doubt, AWS's official information prevails.

4. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application and its content on your devices, solely for your personal, non-commercial study, under these Terms.

5. Intellectual property and prohibition on copying

The Application and all of its content (syllabus, cheat sheets, flashcards, questions, answers, explanations, mock exams, text, design, graphics, logos, software, and databases) belong to AF Roda Development or its licensors and are protected by Spanish intellectual property law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996), database rights, and international treaties.

The following is strictly prohibited without our prior written permission:

  • copying, reproducing, transcribing, translating, adapting, or creating derivative works from any part of the content;
  • distributing, publishing, selling, renting, sublicensing, sharing, or making the content available to third parties in any format or medium (websites, forums, social networks, messaging groups, documents, PDFs, screenshots, courses, etc.);
  • extracting content in bulk or systematically, manually or with automated tools (scraping, bots, decompiling content packages);
  • using the content to train, fine-tune, or feed artificial intelligence models, or to build products or services that compete with the Application;
  • circumventing, disabling, or tampering with free-version restrictions, purchase verification, or content signatures;
  • sharing your account or Premium subscription with other people;
  • decompiling, reverse engineering, or modifying the Application, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.

Breach of this clause will result in the immediate termination of your access, without refund to the extent permitted by law, and may lead to the appropriate civil and criminal action, including claims for damages.

6. Account

You can use the Application without an account. Google sign-in is optional and is required to save your progress in the cloud and to buy Premium. Your account is personal: you are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity carried out with it.

7. Free version and Premium subscription

CertiCloud is freemium:

  • Free: part of the content (full topics, mock exams, and practice by topic, among others), with no time limit.
  • Premium: a Google Play subscription that unlocks all content. The price, available plans (for example, monthly or quarterly), and applicable taxes are shown in Google Play before purchase.

Subscription terms:

  • Payment and renewal. Payment is charged by Google Play to your Google account. Unless you choose a prepaid plan, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period for the same price and duration until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the period already paid and will not be charged for renewal.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, Google Play will notify you in advance under its policies and, where required by law, ask for your consent. You can cancel before it applies.
  • Free trials and offers. If offered, their terms are shown before you subscribe. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid period begins.
  • Refunds. Governed by Google Play's refund policy, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
  • Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). By subscribing to Premium you request immediate access to digital content and acknowledge that, once supply has begun, you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal, under Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 103(m) of Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. This does not affect Google Play's refund policy or your warranty rights if the content is not as described.
  • Same account. Premium is tied to your account. We may offer access with that account in other versions of CertiCloud (for example, the web) when available.
  • If you lose Premium (cancellation, expiry, or refund), you keep your progress but only have access to the free content.

8. Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time on the Delete my data page. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: cancel it in Google Play first to avoid further charges. Deletion is permanent and your cloud progress cannot be recovered.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Application lawfully and in line with these Terms, and not to interfere with its operation or servers (for example, with bulk requests, attacks, or unauthorized access).

10. Content and updates

Content is updated regularly, including to adapt to new exam versions (such as the upcoming DVA-C03). We may add, change, or remove content and features, provided this does not substantially affect what you have already paid for during the current period.

11. Availability

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors, or that it is compatible with every device. Some features require an Internet connection.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AF Roda Development is not liable for: the result of your certification exam; academic, professional, or financial decisions you make based on the content; indirect damages or lost profits; or failures of third-party services (Google, Cloudflare, your device maker, or your carrier).

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury, or the consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Application at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, especially clause 5.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, if the change is significant, let you know in the app. Continuing to use the Application after the change means you accept it. If you disagree, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the Application.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims before the courts of your domicile. If any clause is held invalid, the rest remain in force.
